In Friday's non-league test, the Magdalena Steers (Magdalena, NM) basketball squad knocked off the host Oak Grove Classical Academy Owls (Albuquerque, NM), by a score of 64-44.

Next, the Steers encounter the Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM) in a non-league test, on Saturday, December 7. Magdalena will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Wolverines come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 89-27 non-league win over To'hajiilee (To'hajiilee, NM).
