The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the North Mahaska Warhawks (New Sharon, IA) and the visiting Montezuma Braves (Montezuma, IA), observed North Mahaska's basketball team overcome Montezuma by a margin of 58-46.

The Warhawks (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against H-L-V (Victor, IA). The Warriors come into the South Iowa Cedar challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, H-L-V dropped by Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA), 45-34, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Braves battle the B-G-M Bears (Brooklyn, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Montezuma will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 55-52 non-league loss to Cedar Valley Christian (Cedar Rapids, IA).
