Kentucky High School Basketball - Montgomery County can't get by Powell County

The Montgomery County Indians basketball squad (Mt. Sterling, KY), was nudged 65-64 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Powell County Pirates (Stanton, KY)

With the victory, Powell County advances its record to 3-1 on the year. The Pirates host Bluegrass United (Lexington, KY) to meet the Bluehawks in a non-league battle on Monday, December 9. The Bluehawks enter the battle with a record of 2-4. Bluegrass United lost 59-53 in their recent non-league battle against Garrard County (Lancaster, KY)

The Indians now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bracken County for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 10. Montgomery County will clash with a Polar Bears squad coming off a 64-45 non-league win over Villa Madonna (Covington, KY). The Polar Bears record now stands at 3-1.
