North Carolina High School Basketball - West Wilkes knocks off Alleghany

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) and the visiting Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), observed West Wilkes's basketball team overcome Alleghany by a score of 53-41.

The Blackhawks (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies come into the non-league challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Ashe County dropped by Avery County (Newland, NC), 56-50, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 9. Alleghany will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record.
