New York High School Basketball - Arkport Central can't hold off Avoca Central

Avoca Central Tigers (Avoca, NY) fans went home pleased Friday as they observed their basketball team edge the host Arkport Central Bluejays (Arkport, NY), 60-57 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against East Rochester (East Rochester, NY). The Bombers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, East Rochester was tipped by Clyde-Savannah (Clyde, NY), 49-48, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bluejays encounter the Campbell-Savona Panthers (Campbell, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 7. Arkport Central will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.
