The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Edinburg North Cougars (Edinburg, TX) and the host Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX), observed Edinburg North's basketball team edge Rio Grande City by a margin of 36-35.

The Cougars (7-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX). The Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 3-6 record.
