In Friday's league contest, the host Gaston Christian Eagles basketball team scored a big 63-29 win over the SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles.

The Eagles (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hickory Grove Christian (Charlotte, NC). The Lions come into the NCISAA Metrolina contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Hickory Grove Christian smashed Westminster Catawba Christian (Rock Hill, SC), 43-42, in a league contest.
