Ohio High School Basketball - Johnstown-Monroe nips Newark Catholic

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies basketball team scored a close 48-44 triumph over the Newark Catholic Green Wave.

The Johnnies (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop Hartley (Columbus, OH). The Hawks go into the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Bishop Hartley nipped Bexley (Columbus, OH), 39-30, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Green Wave battle the St. Francis DeSales Stallions (Columbus, OH) in a non-league contest, on Sunday, December 8. Newark Catholic will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Stallions go into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 46-25 non-league loss to Dublin Jerome (Dublin, OH).
