In Friday's league contest, the visiting Jumpertown Cardinals basketball team scored a good 47-37 triumph over the Myrtle Hawks.

The Cardinals (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Falkner (Falkner, MS). The Eagles go into the 1A Region 2 contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Falkner topped Houlka (Houlka, MS), 76-33, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Hawks confront the Pine Grove Panthers (Ripley, MS) in a 1A Region 2 contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Myrtle will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 6-5 record after their 37-30 league win over Byers (Holly Springs, MS).
