In Friday's non-league contest, the host Midland Valley Mustangs basketball team scored a close 43-36 triumph over the Strom Thurmond Rebels.
The Mustangs (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Glenn Hills (Augusta, GA). The Spartans go into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Glenn Hills was tipped by Lakeside (Evans, GA), 1-0, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Rebels confront the Gilbert Indians (Gilbert, SC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Strom Thurmond will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Indians go into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 72-11 non-league win over Horse Creek Academy (Aiken, SC).
