The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX) and the host Donna North Chiefs (Donna, TX), observed Mercedes's basketball team overwhelm Donna North by a margin of 66-29.

The Tigers (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Rio Hondo (Rio Hondo, TX). The Bobcats come into the non-league challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Rio Hondo was crushed by Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX), 45-36, in a non-league match.

The Chiefs now own a 4-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McAllen for a non-league match on Thursday, December 11. Donna North will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 74-38 non-league win over Weslaco East (Weslaco, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 14-0.
