Next, the Lions clash with the Marshall Mavericks (Marshall, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 outing, on Tuesday, December 9. Tyler will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Mavericks come into the outing with a 4-4 record after their 54-40 non-league win over Fairfield (Fairfield, TX).

The Bearcats (1-12) will now prepare for their game against Bishop Lynch (Dallas, TX). The Friars go into the non-league game with a 7-8 record. In their last game, Bishop Lynch achieved victory over South San Antonio (San Antonio, TX), 63-31, in a non-league game.
