In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Alburnett Pirates basketball team scored a close 75-68 triumph over the Bellevue Comets.
The Pirates (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Beckman (Dyersville, IA). The Trailblazers enter the non-league match with a 1-0 record.
The Comets now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Midland for a non-league match on Monday, December 8. Bellevue will face a Eagles squad coming off a 58-45 league loss to Easton Valley (Preston, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-3.
