In Saturday's league contest, the host Earlsboro Wildcats basketball team scored a good 56-48 triumph over the Varnum Whippets.
The Wildcats (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Macomb (Macomb, OK). The Hornets go into the Little River match with a 7-5 record. In their last match, Macomb notched a victory over Maud (Maud, OK), 74-41, in a non-league match.
The Whippets now own a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bowlegs for a Little River contest on Thursday, December 11. Varnum will battle a Bison team coming off a 55-31 non-league win over Graham/Dustin (Weleetka, OK). The Bison record now stands at 1-2.
