The Leakey Eagles basketball team scored 44 points and limited the host Utopia Buffaloes to 28 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Eagles now have a 6-6 record. They play next when they host D'Hanis for a 1A Region IV District 31 game on Tuesday, December 9. Leakey will confront a Cowboys team coming off a 35-13 non-league win over Knippa (Knippa, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Utopia falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Rocksprings (Rocksprings, TX) to confront the Angoras in a 1A Region IV District 31 game on Tuesday, December 9. The Angoras go into the game with a record of 3-14. Rocksprings lost 49-15 in their recent non-league outing against Harper (Harper, TX)
