Mississippi High School Basketball - Wheeler thwarted by Biggersville

The Wheeler Eagles basketball team (Wheeler, MS), was toppled 63-46 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Biggersville Lions (Corinth, MS)

The Lions now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pine Grove for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 9. Biggersville will confront a Panthers team coming off a 56-44 non-league loss to Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 6-4.

The Eagles (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against Jumpertown (Booneville, MS). The Cardinals come into the 1A Region 1 battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Jumpertown was toppled by Walnut (Walnut, MS), 69-55, in a non-league battle.
