Woodland Beavers (Woodland, WA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Columbia River Rapids (Vancouver, WA), 73-67 in a league bout.

With the win, Woodland upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Beavers host La Center (La Center, WA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 8. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 1-1. La Center won 72-27 in their recent non-league bout against Montesano (Montesano, WA)

Next up, the Rapids play the Fort Vancouver Trappers (Vancouver, WA) in a 2A Greater St. Helens bout, on Friday, December 9. Columbia River will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Trappers go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 69-43 league loss to Ridgefield (Ridgefield, WA).
