North Carolina High School Basketball - Franklin Academy overwhelms Oxford Prep

Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Franklin Academy Patriots (Wake Forest, NC) and the visiting Oxford Prep Griffins (Oxford, NC), saw Franklin Academy's basketball squad wallop Oxford Prep by a tally of 65-42.

With the victory, Franklin Academy improves its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Patriots host Chatham Charter (Siler City, NC) to confront the Knights in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 9. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 10-0. Chatham Charter won 58-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC)

Next up, the Griffins confront the Roxboro Community Bulldogs (Roxboro, NC) in a 1A Conference 11 challenge, on Friday, December 9. Oxford Prep will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 50-29 non-league win over Southern Wake Academy (Holly Springs, NC).
