Johnstown Sir Bills (Johnstown, NY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Indians (Ravena, NY), 45-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Johnstown upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Sir Bills host Amsterdam (Amsterdam, NY) to play the Rams in a Section 2 Foothills bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Amsterdam won 85-72 in their recent non-league bout against New Hartford (New Hartford, NY)

Next up, the Indians play the Voorheesville Blackbirds (Voorheesville, NY) in a Section 2 Colonial - Patriot bout, on Saturday, December 10. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Blackbirds go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 55-53 league loss to La Salle Institute (Troy, NY).
