Lakeview Charter Lions (Sylmar, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Valley Oaks CES Vanguards (Sun Valley, CA), 49-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Lakeview Charter upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Lions travel to Sherman Oaks CES (Reseda, CA) to clash with the Knights in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 5-7. Sherman Oaks CES lost 68-51 in their recent non-league bout against North Hollywood (North Hollywood, CA)

Next up, the Vanguards clash with the North Valley Military Institute Hawks (Sun Valley, CA) in a North Valley bout, on Thursday, December 8. Valley Oaks CES will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 50-33 non-league loss to Triumph Charter (Sylmar, CA).
