Mount St. Joseph Gaels (Baltimore, MD) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cougars (Baltimore, MD), 72-63 in a league bout.

With the win, Mount St. Joseph upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Gaels host John Carroll (Bel Air, MD) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 3-2. John Carroll won 92-74 in their recent league bout against Boys Latin (Baltimore, MD)

Next up, the Cougars play the Goretti Gael (Hagerstown, MD) in a Baltimore Catholic bout, on Friday, December 9. Our Lady of Mount Carmel will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Gael go into the bout with a 7-0 record after their 80-46 non-league win over Bethel (Hampton, VA).
