The Fairmont Firebirds (Kettering, OH) basketball crushed the host Springfield Wildcats (Springfield, OH), 59-38 in Wednesday's league test.
The Firebirds (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Miamisburg (Miamisburg, OH). The Vikings go into the Greater Western Ohio test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Miamisburg was trounced by Centerville (Centerville, OH), 64-48, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Springboro for a Greater Western Ohio contest on Saturday, December 10. Springfield will battle a Panthers team coming off a 48-37 league win over Wayne (Huber Heights, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 2-2.
