West Virginia High School Basketball - Independence overwhelms Sherman

December 7, 2022: Coal City, WV 25823

Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV) and the visiting Sherman Tide (Seth, WV), saw Independence's basketball squad wallop Sherman by a tally of 45-19.

With the victory, Independence improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Midland Trail (Hico, WV) to confront the Patriots in a Coalfield AA challenge on Wednesday, December 14. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Midland Trail won 44-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Pocahontas County (Dunmore, WV)

Next up, the Tide confront the Scott Skyhawks (Madison, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 16. Sherman will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.
