The Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA), 36-35 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Indians (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Rockbridge County was tipped by Salem (Salem, VA), 48-30, in a non-league test.

The Mountaineers now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Buffalo Gap for a non-league test on Monday, December 12.
