The William Byrd Terriers basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host Bassett Bengals to 52 in the Terriers non-league victory on Thursday.
The Terriers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hidden Valley for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. William Byrd will battle a Titans team coming off a 55-35 non-league win over Glenvar (Salem, VA). The Titans record now stands at 1-2.
The Bengals (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Franklin County dropped by Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA), 44-34, in a non-league contest.
