Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Phoebus Phantoms (Hampton, VA) and the host Bethel Bruins (Hampton, VA), saw Phoebus's basketball squad hold off Bethel by a count of 46-45.

With the victory, Phoebus upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Phantoms travel to Northampton (Eastville, VA) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 8. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Northampton won 101-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Mathews (Mathews, VA)

Next up, the Bruins play the Kecoughtan Warriors (Hampton, VA) in a Peninsula challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Bethel will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 58-52 league loss to Menchville (Newport News, VA).
