The Lac Courte Oreilles Eagles routed the visiting Butternut Midgets basketball team by a final score of 63-22 in Thursday's league battle.

The Eagles now possess a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Drummond for a Northern Lights battle on Monday, December 11. Lac Courte Oreilles will battle a Lumberjacks team coming off a 52-48 league win over Hurley (Hurley, WI). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 3-0.

The Midgets (0-4) will now prepare for their battle against Mellen (Mellen, WI). The Granite Diggers come into the Northern Lights battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Mellen was overwhelmed by Washburn (Washburn, WI), 82-32, in a league battle.
