Deary Mustangs (Deary, ID) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Timberline Spartans (Weippe, ID), 44-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Deary upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Genesee (Genesee, ID) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 0-3.

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Kendrick Tigers (Kendrick, ID) in a 1A White Pine bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Timberline will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
