Hardee Wildcats (Wauchula, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host DeSoto County Bulldogs (Arcadia, FL), 68-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hardee upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wildcats host Fort Meade (Fort Meade, FL) to clash with the Miners in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Miners go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Fort Meade won 71-37 in their recent non-league bout against Ridgeview Global Studies Academy (Davenport, FL)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Lake Placid Dragons (Lake Placid, FL) in a 4A District 11 bout, on Friday, December 8. DeSoto County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 63-55 non-league win over Oasis Christian (Winter Haven, FL).
