Franklin Bulldogs (Rochester, NY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting University Prep Charter Gator (Bronx, NY), 74-70 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Franklin upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Wilson Magnet (Rochester, NY) to play the Wildcats in a Section 5 Rochester City Catholic - Upper bout on Wednesday, December 13. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Gator play the Utica Academy of Science Atoms (Utica, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. University Prep Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
