Dakota Cougars (Macomb, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Romeo Bulldogs (Romeo, MI), 62-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dakota upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Cougars host Chippewa Valley (Clinton Township, MI) to play the Big Reds in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 14. The Big Reds come into the bout with a record of 4-0. Chippewa Valley won 55-33 in their recent non-league bout against De La Salle Collegiate (Warren, MI)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Romeo will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
