Hillcrest Hawks (Country Club Hills, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves (Lansing, IL), 42-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hillcrest upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Hawks host Simeon (Chicago, IL) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 7-0.

Next up, the Red Wolves play the Lemont Lemont HS (Lemont, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Thornton Fractional South will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record.
