Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Apollo Hawks (Glendale, AZ) and the visiting South Mountain Jaguars (Phoenix, AZ), saw Apollo's basketball squad overcome South Mountain by a tally of 40-28.

With the victory, Apollo improves its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Youngker (Buckeye, AZ) to confront the Roughriders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Roughriders come into the challenge with a record of 4-4.

Next up, the Jaguars confront the Sierra Linda Bulldogs (Phoenix, AZ) in a 5A Metro challenge, on Friday, December 8. South Mountain will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 51-47 non-league win over Independence (Glendale, AZ).
