Illinois High School Basketball - Arcola topped by Sullivan

The Sullivan Redskins basketball team scored 38 points and restricted the host Arcola Purple Riders to 30 in the Redskins league victory on Thursday.

The Redskins now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 9. Sullivan will battle a Bluejays team coming off a 66-41 non-league win over Cuba/Spoon River Valley (Cuba, IL). The Bluejays record now stands at 7-0.

The Purple Riders (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] (Kansas, IL). The Titans come into the Lincoln Prairie challenge with a 8-1 record. In their last challenge, Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] gained a win over Unity Christian (Decatur, IL), 56-17, in a league challenge.
