Virginia High School Basketball - Meadowbrook ripped by Matoaca

The Matoaca Warriors basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Meadowbrook Monarchs to 24 in the Warriors league triumph on Thursday.

The Warriors now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Petersburg for a Central contest on Tuesday, December 12. Matoaca will battle a Crimson Wave team coming off a 45-33 league loss to Prince George (Prince George, VA). The Crimson Wave record now stands at 2-2.

The Monarchs (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Hopewell (Hopewell, VA). The Blue Devils enter the Central contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Hopewell triumphed over Colonial Heights (Colonial Heights, VA), 81-24, in a league contest.
