North Carolina High School Basketball - North Surry crushes South Stokes

December 7, 2023: Walnut Cove, NC 27052

North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC), 60-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Surry upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to R.J. Reynolds (Winston-Salem, NC) to play the Demons in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Demons go into the bout with a record of 3-3. R.J. Reynolds lost 30-25 in their recent non-league bout against Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC)

Next up, the Sauras play the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. South Stokes will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 54-52 non-league win over North Stokes (Danbury, NC).
