The Orangefield Bobcats (Orangefield, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Port Neches-Groves Indians (Port Neches, TX), 46-42 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Bobcats (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Buna (Buna, TX). The Cougars go into the 3A Region III District 22 test with a 14-4 record. In their last test, Buna got by Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX), 47-31, in a non-league test.
The Indians now own a 6-12 record. They play next when they travel to Evadale for a non-league test on Friday, December 8. Port Neches-Groves will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 53-49 non-league win over Vidor (Vidor, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 6-4.
