Woodlawn Prep Wolfpack (Columbia, MS) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Salem Wildcats (Tylertown, MS), 36-29 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Woodlawn Prep upgrades its record to 1-7 on the campaign. The Wolfpack travel to Tensas Academy (St. Joseph, LA) to play the Chiefs in a MAIS 2A District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Chiefs come into the bout with a record of 0-4.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Sumrall Bobcats (Sumrall, MS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Salem will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Bobcats come into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 57-38 non-league win over Christian Collegiate Academy (Gulfport, MS).
