The Verona Wildcats basketball team scored 66 points and held the host Vel Phillips Memorial Spartans to 36 in the Wildcats league triumph on Thursday.
The Wildcats now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McFarland for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 9. Verona will meet a Spartans team coming off a 76-41 non-league win over Stoughton (Stoughton, WI). The Spartans record now stands at 5-0.
The Spartans (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Monona Grove (Monona, WI). The Silver Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Monona Grove triumphed over La Crosse Logan (La Crosse, WI), 68-27, in a non-league contest.
