California High School Basketball - Homestead can't hold off Branham

The Homestead Mustangs basketball team (Cupertino, CA), was nudged 40-36 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Branham Bruins (San Jose, CA)
The Bruins now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monta Vista for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 12. Branham will battle a Matadors team coming off a 39-36 non-league win over Milpitas (Milpitas, CA). The Matadors record now stands at 5-1.
The Mustangs (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Hillsdale (San Mateo, CA). The FIGHTING KNIGHTS come into the non-league battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Hillsdale was nudged by Menlo-Atherton (Atherton, CA), 56-34, in a non-league battle.
