Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys (Moneta, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), 32-8 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Ospreys travel to Southwest Virginia Academy (Roanoke, VA) to play the Conquerors in a non-league bout on Monday, December 11. The Conquerors come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Bath County Chargers (Hot Springs, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Eastern Montgomery will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Chargers come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 33-22 non-league win over Meadow Bridge (Meadow Bridge, WV).
