El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting Atwater Falcons (Atwater, CA), 4-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Gauchos confront the Clovis North Broncos (Fresno, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 8. El Capitan will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Broncos enter the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Madera (Madera, CA).

The Falcons now have a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Central Valley for a Central California Conference challenge on Tuesday, December 12.
