New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Corinth Warriors (Corinth, MS), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Trojans confront the Itawamba Agricultural Indians (Fulton, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 9. New Hope will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 7-0 league win over Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS).

The Warriors now possess a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Point for a 5A Region 1 challenge on Saturday, December 9. Corinth will confront a Green Wave team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Philadelphia (Philadelphia, MS). The Green Wave record now stands at 1-3.
