The Irmo Yellowjackets basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Chapin Eagles to 35 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to River Bluff for a non-league contest on Monday, December 11. Irmo will battle a Gators team coming off a 39-14 non-league loss to Irmo (Columbia, SC). The Gators record now stands at 0-2.
The Eagles (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Westwood (Blythewood, SC). The Redhawks enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Westwood ran past Spring Valley (Columbia, SC), 56-39, in a non-league contest.
