Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC), 85-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Freedom upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Patriots travel to A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC) to play the Rockets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 0-1. A.C. Reynolds lost 46-34 in their recent non-league bout against Pisgah (Canton, NC)

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. East Burke will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
