Gloucester Dukes (Gloucester, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Warwick Raiders (Newport News, VA), 49-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gloucester upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Dukes travel to Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Nansemond River won 70-19 in their recent non-league bout against Lakeland (Suffolk, VA)

Next up, the Raiders play the Heritage Hurricanes (Newport News, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Warwick will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 65-21 non-league loss to Woodside (Newport News, VA).
