Hillside Hornets (Durham, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Seaforth Hawks (Pittsboro, NC), 74-66 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hillside upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Hornets travel to Wake Forest (Wake Forest, NC) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Wake Forest lost 50-43 in their recent non-league bout against Jordan (Durham, NC)

Next up, the Hawks play the Graham Red Devils (Graham, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Seaforth will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Red Devils go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 71-26 non-league loss to Eastern Alamance (Mebane, NC).
