California High School Basketball - River Islands nips Downey

December 7, 2024: Modesto, CA 95355

In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting River Islands Riptide basketball team scored a close 55-52 win over the Downey Knights.

The Riptide (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Kennedy (Sacramento, CA). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Kennedy was tipped by Milpitas (Milpitas, CA), 67-63, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Manteca Buffaloes (Manteca, CA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Downey will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Buffaloes come into the contest with a 3-3 record after their 57-51 non-league win over El Capitan (Merced, CA).
