In Saturday's league contest, the host Furr Brahmans basketball team scored a close 60-55 triumph over the Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men Knights.

The Brahmans (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Wisdom (Houston, TX). The Generals go into the non-league contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Wisdom was tipped by Bellaire (Bellaire, TX), 84-25, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Knights confront the Scarborough Spartans (Houston, TX) in a 4A Region III District 20 contest, on Saturday, December 14. Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Spartans go into the contest with a 0-9 record after their 101-29 league loss to Wheatley (Houston, TX).
