In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Boyd Yellowjackets basketball team scored a good 50-37 triumph over the Life Oak Cliff Lions.

The Yellowjackets (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Callisburg (Gainesville, TX). The Wildcats go into the 3A Region II District 10 contest with a 11-3 record. In their last contest, Callisburg topped Peaster (Peaster, TX), 35-27, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Lions confront the A Plus Academy Knights (Dallas, TX) in a 3A Region II District 9 contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Life Oak Cliff will attempt to better on its 2-14 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 0-4 record after their 75-10 non-league loss to Wilmer-Hutchins (Dallas, TX).
